1970-01-01	ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:PROPULSION SYSTEM:TRACTION BATTERY	Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2024 Jeep Wrangler 4XE and 2022-2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE vehicles. The high voltage battery may fail internally and lead to a vehicle fire while parked or driving. Remedy: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures, and not to recharge their vehicles until they are repaired. Dealers will update the high voltage battery pack software and replace the battery pack assembly, if necessary, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed October 11, 2024. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning December 2024. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler’s number for this recall is 95B. Vehicles in this recall that were previously recalled for the same issue under NHTSA Recall 23V-787 will need to have the new remedy performed.
2024-12-09	BACK OVER PREVENTION: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA	Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2018-2024 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. The wiring harness for the rearview camera and the center brake light may short circuit, which can disable the rearview camera image and center brake light. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 111, “Rear Visibility” and 108, “Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.” Remedy: Dealers replaced the harness for the center brake light and rearview camera and/or the spare tire carrier/harness assembly, as necessary, free of charge. All vehicles were repaired by January 15, 2024. Owner notification letters were mailed September 26, 2024. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. 2024-05-09	ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL	Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2024 Jeep Gladiator and 2018-2024 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. The instrument panel cluster may experience an internal short circuit and fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 101, “Controls and Displays.” Remedy: Dealers will replace the instrument panel cluster, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed between October 3, 2024, and January 23, 2025. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA’s number for this recall is 30B.
1970-01-01	VISIBILITY:DEFROSTER/DEFOGGER/HVAC SYSTEM	Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Jeep Wrangler and 2022-2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles. A hybrid control processor (HCP) software error may cause the defrosting and defogging system to be inoperative. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 103, “Windshield Defrosting and Defogging Systems.” Remedy: Dealers will update the HCP software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 29, 2024. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler’s number for this recall is 04B.
1970-01-01	ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:PROPULSION SYSTEM:TRACTION BATTERY	Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Jeep Wrangler Plug-In Hybrid Electric (PHEV) vehicles. The high voltage battery may fail internally and lead to a vehicle fire while parked or driving. Remedy: Owners are advised not to recharge their vehicles, and to park outside and away from structures, until they are repaired. Dealers will update the high voltage battery pack software and replace the battery pack assembly if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 7, 2024. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC’s number for this recall is 89A. This recall is superseded by NHTSA Recall 24V-720.
1970-01-01	POWER TRAIN:MANUAL TRANSMISSION	Chrysler (FCA US), LLC is recalling certain 2022-2023 Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator vehicles equipped with a manual transmission. The rearview camera may fail to display the rearview image and the reverse lights may not illuminate when the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 111, “Rear Visibility” and 108, “Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.” Remedy: Dealers will replace the gear position sensor, free of charge. 1970-01-01	ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:PROPULSION SYSTEM:TRACTION BATTERY	Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Jeep Wrangler Plug-In Hybrid Electric vehicles (PHEV). The high voltage (HV) battery pack assembly was built with incorrect fasteners to secure the 200-amp fuse, which can generate excessive heat. Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the HV battery fuse, as necessary. Dealers will also inspect the battery assembly for damage and replace it, if necessary. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 23, 2023. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler’s number for this recall is 53A. This recall is an expansion of previous recall 22V-768.
1970-01-01	FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP	Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Jeep Wrangler, Gladiator, and 2022-2023 Ram 1500 vehicles equipped with a 3.0L diesel engine. The high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) may fail. Remedy: Dealers will replace the HPFP and replace additional fuel system components, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 17, 2023. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC’s number for this recall is 01A.
1970-01-01	STRUCTURE:FRAME AND MEMBERS	Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2022 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. A stud on the frame assembly may puncture the fuel tank in a crash, which can result in a fuel leak. Remedy: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, remove the frame stud and apply paint, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 6, 2023. 1970-01-01	POWER TRAIN:CLUTCH ASSEMBLY	Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2018-2023 Jeep Wrangler, and 2020-2023 Jeep Gladiator vehicles equipped with manual transmissions. The clutch pressure plate may overheat and fracture. Remedy: Dealers will replace the clutch assembly and update the software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed from November 16, 2023 through July 25, 2024. Owners may contact (FCA US, LLC) customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US LLC’s number for this recall is 19A. This recall expands and replaces previous recall 21V-028. Vehicles previously repaired under recall 21V-028 will need to have the new remedy completed.
1970-01-01	ENGINE	Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe vehicles equipped with 2.0L Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle engines. A loss of communication may cause an engine shutdown. Remedy: There is more than one involved component and calibration software. Updating the calibration software in the Transmission Control Module, Hybrid Control Processor and Auxiliary Hybrid Control Processor that changes fail safe from shut down to limp home. Dealers will update the transmission control module software, Hybrid Control Processor and Auxiliary Hybrid Control Processor, free of charge. 1970-01-01	FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP	Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2022 Jeep Wrangler, Ram 1500, and 2021-2022 Jeep Gladiator vehicles equipped with 3.0L diesel engines. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, “Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.” Remedy: FCA will replace the tail light assemblies, free of charge. See attached document for complaint. excerpt from attachment: i received a letter from the fca fiat chrysler automobiles an according to the national traffic and motor vehicle safety act that letter stated: "fca us llc had decided that certain 2022 jeep wrangler vehicle equipped with a 3.5" instrument panel cluster (ipc) failed to conform to federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvs) no.101-controls and displays" safety recall 30b/nhtsa 24v -652 february 2025 i called the fca recall assistance center at 1-800-853-1403. the agent told me the part was available. so, i made an appointment through them and to brought my jeep into the san diego chrysler dodge jeep ram san diego, ca, but about an hour later i received a phone call the "mechanics" said that they did not have the part(s) for this issue to be repaired. we went back to retrieve my 2022 jeep wrangler sport sand was told that they could keep the car due to needing the latest mileage on my jeep, before they even could order the parts or whatever to fix it. note my instrumental panel seem to be working fine. but according to that jeep "mechanic" it still had to be replaced. i can't afford to leave my jeep there waiting for some part(s) to be ordered. the mechanics can't say when the parts would be available for the repair to be done. it could be a week, it could be a month, it could be a year, they can't say. but they never told me if they are ordering any parts without keeping my jeep there gathering dust waiting for something to happen. the "mechanics" aren't going to charge me, that is what they said. but the part about not getting it done in a reasonable time due to not having the parts and wanting me to leave the jeep there to what? gather dust? service dealer at san diego chrysler dodge jeep ram 777 camino del rio s, san diego, ca92108 my vehicle is a 2022 red 4 door jeep wrangler sport s vin# 1c4hjxdn4nw252482 i paid over 50,000 usd for that 2022 jeep wrangler sports s and this issue can't be solves? i would like an answer as to why my jeep needs to be left with the service dealership before even ordering the part(s). i have enclosed the letter i received from the fca fiat chrysler automobiles which in the letter states that, "to do this, you dealer will replace the ipc. the estimated repair time is 2 days for the new ipc to be programmed with current mileage and delivered to the dealership." but the i was told the parts were not in stock and they did not know where it would be available to take care of the issue. nothing was said about whether parts were available it could be a couple of days for the jeep to be repaired. please note that the jeep first poc is andrew tabar, but i am also on the contract/payments and the jeep is registered in both of our names. but i am the primary driver of the 2022 jeep.

5 Investigations for 2022 Jeep Wrangler

The office of defects investigation (odi) opened pe21-021 on october 14, 2021, to investigate incidents alleging a stall/loss of motive power as a result of high-pressure fuel pump failures in certain model year (my) 2019-2020 ram 2500, 3500, 4500, and 5500 heavy duty trucks equipped with 6.7l cummins turbodiesel engines. during the investigation, odi sought to determine if the related defect allegation was limited in scope to the recalled population. after review of information request response materials from both fca and bmw, nhtsa determined that sufficient information to identify a comprehensive recall population could not be produced by fca and bmw.during the investigation fca filed recalls 22v406, 22e048, 22v767, and 22e087 which include vehicles not identified in the initial subject population by odi. odi also received recall 21v586, involving loss of motive power due to failed cp4 fuel pumps on certain bmw manufactured vehicles. an information request letter response received from bmw indicated that failed pumps on their vehicles were caused by an interaction between pump internal components and us market diesel fuel, leading to increased slip and eventual particle-generating wear surface. additional work will be done to identify whether a similar root cause is associated with the fca recalled population and if similar wear dynamics occur on pumps supplied to vehicle manufacturers other than those included in the recalled population.odi has upgraded this investigation to an ea in order to 1) determine engineering specifications of internal pump components that are correlated with pump failure leading to loss of motive power or other safety related hazards, 2) identify vehicle populations equipped with alleged defective pump variants, 3) assess if vehicles equipped with alleged defective pump variants result in an unreasonable risk to motor vehicle safety and 4) gather and review any other relevant information related to high pressure fuel pump failure associated with the subject populations of recalls 21v586, 21v880, 21e094, 22v406, 22e048, 22v767, and 22e087.review of the above information will allow nhtsa to confirm root cause and recall remedy viability, and identify and evaluate vehicle populations equipped with pump components that may pose an unreasonable risk to motor vehicle safety.the odi reports cited above can be reviewed at: http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/owners/searchnhtsaid using the following complaint identification numbers: 11257550, 11351441, 11361603, 11361616, 11365300, 11365426, 11365858, 11366401, 11372337, 11373793, 11374797, 11376793, 11377871, 11378173, 11384377, 11386063, 11387018, 11399710, 11402550, 11415339, 11418868, 11418870, 11427075, 11434276, 11436807, 11437226, 11437249, 11437273, 11437292, 11437294, 11437394, 11437399, 11437403, 11437405, 11437423, 11437528, 11437565, 11437579, 11437580, 11437590, 11437679, 11437744, 11437781, 11437842, 11437993, 11438006, 11438008, 11438121, 11438138, 11438155, 11438392, 11438629, 11439359, 11439879, 11440397, 11443030, 11446542, 11448163, 11453556, 11458918, 11460558, 11469337
